ree

What is this book and why is it so important? This is a great question and it is extremely important to know the answer. The Bible is considered by many to be foundational in learning about who God is and what God is about. This book is a collection of writings that collectively contribute to give understanding and instruction. From Moses to John, the authors of these writings have been inspired to give us revelation. This holy collection is a revealing of the qualities of God and it is our responsibility to review this material with humility and respect, searching out the scriptures to gain understanding and wisdom.

Emerging from the history of God and His creation, select people have produced literature composing of the Tanakh, made up to the Torah, Nevi'im, and Ketuvim, also referred to as The Law, The Prophets, and The Writings. Depending on which version you have, you may also have an Apocrypha section, or Deuterocanonical Writings emerging from Second Temple period literature. Post reformation era, many Bible versions are broken into two sections of Old Testament and New Testament, associated with the fulfillment of God's covenant with mankind through Jesus. The Apostles of Jesus are attributed to the authorship of the New Testament writings. The New Testament elaborates on Jesus and events associated with Christianity, namely by His apostles in the first century.
